Abstract:
Angle integrated inverse photoemission spectra obtained from CeCo2 in the UV energy region (10.4 eV less-than-or-equal-to hnu less-than-or-equal-to 32.1 eV) in the isochromat mode are presented; the sensitivity to (d) and (f) states is discussed and the main d-features are pointed out. The experimental results are compared with LMTO-ASA-LSD partial d-DOS calculated for this purpose over a wide energy range above the Fermi level (0-16 eV). A good correspondence between measured and calculated features is found and the implications are discussed.
